    Your best shot to rehome your dogs is if they are purebred – to contact the breed rescue.

    Bottom line is in spite of all the get a dog from the pound 99% of the people want puppies – or at smallest amount dogs under 2 years. So you map out what happens to the rest of them.

    I believe you have to surrender the dog to them.

    Our local county creature shelters euthanize after a small period….72 hrs..? and that is right of owner
    turn-ins so I would stay away from shelters.

    I believe the humane the high classes does not euthanize.

    But there are many rescues that might be able to help you. I would run a search under dog rescue and the dog does not have to be a pure-bred.
